When love is given freely

It is like a bird on wing

Gliding through a tempestuous sky

Always returning to the safety of its nest

It will then flourish

Giving back no empty promises or lies

You will gladly put your mate first

Thinking of their desires

Before your own

Watching as all your desires are fulfilled

Because of your unselfishness

And when you are willing

To put others' happiness before your own
