Gratitude

When I wake up in the morning

And the sunlight is so bright

I am very grateful to you my Lord

For my gift of sight

And when I hear the birds sing

And music fills the air

I am so happy to hear these sounds

So thankful I can hear

When it's time for meals

I try hard not to waste

For I'm grateful for the nurishment

So thankful I can smell and taste

It gives me joy to move about

I'm so glad that I can walk

Lord please know through my prayer

I'm so thankful I can talk

For so many people are in wheelchairs

Or they're deaf or mute, or blind

I consider all this Lord

And in all of this I find

If we are grateful for all we have

More good just comes our way

So I give my gratitude in great abundance Lord

For I am thankful most of all, that I was taught to pray.
