Country Breeze
You and I sit with our rocking chairs pointed west We talk about the corn it will need cropping here soon And the Texas summer heat this year will be one not to forget Homemade ice cream and watermelon slices cools us down The kids playing in the swimming pool Bunny rabbits hopping around on the ground No rat race here only thing racing is a train of in a distance Red birds singing along with locus's Dew berries popping up along the fence We raise our kids where the god lord is blessed Where we know our neighbors When a kindly deed is done we do not forget We sit on porch and feel the warm country breeze Taking it all in This is the only place we will ever want to be
