Alien Friends

I lift my eyes to the skies

On this dark and windy night

I think I see an alien craft

As it streaks through the sky with a golden light

I hear no sound but it seems to signal

With its brilliant golden light

My heart is racing

And I'm filled with fright

I am in my backyard

And I run to hide behind a tree

But the alien craft sends a beam of light

Down to capture me

I find myself floating upward

Struggling to get free

But to my surprise

I feel a sense of perfect harmony

I find the aliens to be friendly

They seem to welcome me

They give me a liquid to drink

And let me know I'm free

They bring a little girl out

She doesn't look like me

She has no hair and real big eyes

But we have fun and she plays with me

Then it's time to leave

I asked to go back to my house

They said I mustn't tell anyone

I promised to be quiet as a mouse

Now when I look up to the skies

I know I've been to a secret place

I know that I have friends there

They came from outer space.
